CRISIS IN PERU

High inflation, lack of investment and bad policies is the reason for the crisis in Peru, according to this projection, in the last half of 2022 a kilo of yellow potato (which currently costs S/2 or US$0.40 per kilo could increase to S/0.44 or US$0.12 more 

For Carlos Parodi, an economist, the problem in inflation is due to the international and local effect. At the international level, there were problems linked to supply chains and difficulties in ports. As for the local it is due to the bad policies that have been taken.

According to the agrarian economist and researcher at Grade, Eduardo Zegarra, Peru is already facing a food crisis that will be on the rise in the coming months. "We are in a serious phase that can become acute."
