CITY COLLEGE STUDENT, FAMILY STRUGGLE TO NAVIGATE HOUSING INSECURITY SERVICES

STATE-FUNDED PROGRAMWELCOME HOME, CITY” FAILS TO CONNECT STUDENT WITH HOUSING, EXPOSING CHALLENGES

This is an interesting article that is worth the read. The state has given money to community colleges (all of them have used the money in different initiatives), the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s office has funded an initiative, and so on. All these temporary measures, even though great (good) initiatives, at the same time cause confusion as they have not been propagated or publicise enough to get to the correct message passed across to the students.

We need to unify this effort and standardize it, such that the low-income students are able to use this help properly.
